Rare circa 1950 sterling silver tea/coffee tray by International of Meriden, CT, of simple form, the applied handles have applied elements which looks like bamboo was wrapped about the handle. This was the largest tray International was making in 1950.

Weight a heavy 88 oz. Dimensions 25 1/2 inches long over handles by 16 inches wide. No monogram. Marked as illustrated in photo.

A massive circa 1950 coffee - teapot service with tray by International Silver, of Meriden, CT, in the Lord Robert pattern, with teapot, coffee pot, sugar bowl with bowl (all with carved ebony finials, and creamer, all with gadroon borders on top rip, and all sitting on four (4) bun feet; the tray with gadroon edge and two (2) superbly cast handles. Each piece is marked 'D', International's designation for 'Heavy' weight. Dimensions: tray 27 1/2 inches across handles by tall by 16 1/4 inches wide; the 11 cup coffeepot 7 1/4 high, the 10 cup teapot 7 inches high.
