| 262oz PUNCH SET STERLING SILVER ENAMEL CUPS etc 1969 A rare 1969 punch bowl set by Old Newbury Crafters, of Newburyport, MA, named 'The Palladian Punch Set', all hand made with superb patina and hammering, also with magnificent applied beading on tray, cups, punch bowl and ladle. Dimensions: 5 1/2 inches tall by 2 3/8 inches across legs. No monogram. Marked as illustrated in photo; cups, tray and ladle marked 'ONC Sterling'. In pristine condition. The Palladian Punch Set by Old Newbury Crafters was made in conjunction with Shreve Crump & Low Company of Boston (as an investor). A limited edition of ten (10) were made in 1969; the retail cost of all was $3800. Unsold sets were offered in early to mid-eighties for $12,500. The set consists of the punchbowl (diameter at top rim 14", height 10 1/4", weight 112oz), with eight (8) vertical pillars of turquoise enamel. The marks on the Palladian punch bowl are as follows: Bull Horns - Daniel Morrill, Arrowhead - Fletcher Carter, Crown with Arrow - Gayden Marshall; Castle - Robert Bean, Sailing Ship - Chester Dow. The tray measures 18 3/4" diameter, 1 1/4" high and weighs 80-oz.Each of the 12 cups is 3" high, diameter at top rim 3 3/8", total weight 60 oz.The ladle is 13" long and weighs 10oz.Total weight of the 'Palladian Punch Set' is 262oz.
