Pair of circa 1870 sterling silver entree dishes by George Sharp of Philadelphia, the entree dish with four raised half circles with super engraving and brighcut work and an applied die rolled border; the entree cover with engraving and applied die rolled border on lid and on the upper entree dish rim when the finial is removed.

The engraving and die rolled borders are in the aesthetic motif with flowers and leaves and trees. A cartouche on the lid has a helmeted male figure in profile.

Total weight a very heavy 128 oz. Dimensions 13 1/4 inches long x 9 1/2 inches wide x 6 3/4 inches high to top of finial. No monogram. Marked George Sharp, Sterling and Sharps lion, shield, lion marks.
