Fine circa 1880 silverplate tazza by Simpson, Hall & Miller of Wallingford, Connecticut. The stand features a decorative engraved floral motif upper plate, part of the rim pierced, all resting on three (3) gnarled branches with leaves and owls. The top portion also features a gilded floral banner and a trellis-like design that is on one side of the upper plate. The base of the stand also features three (3) 3-dimensional owls ( one large and two smaller owls). The owls and the leaves have a brushed gilded finsih. The bottom of the stand also has four (4) applied gilded feet.

The diameter of the plate/top is: 8 7/8 inches, the base diameter is 4 inches and the height of the stand is 5 7/8 inches. Marked as illustrated below.
