A circa 1877 sterling silver centerpiece bowl by Tiffany & Co. of New York, the bombe circular bowl is chased in a hypnotic wave pattern and engraved with gilt cartouches enclosing morning glory, peonies and other flowers. The shape of the cartouches are repeated inside the bowl. The pedestal foot is engraved with gilt feather-like leaves. The rims are gilded. There is one unadorned cartouche in the shape of a bat.

This bowl has a provenance that dates back to the Rothschilds and was part of the wedding silver between Hannah Rothschild and Archibald Philip, 5th Earl of Roseberry.

The bottom base is monogrammed "AR" and numbered 4778 Makers 8914 as illustrated in photo. Weight 22 oz. Dimensions: 7 5/8 inches diameter by 4 1/2 inches high.

Weight 70 oz. Dimensions 24 inches long by 12 inches wide at midsection and gradually tapering towards end by 1 1/2 inches high.

Marked as illustrated in photo, including small 'OS' monogram on underside of tray.

A fine circa 1882 sterling silver tea set by Tiffany & Co., of New York, in the aesthetic motif, with masterful all over hand hammering, the spout of the tea pot shaped like an elepha's trun, the rims and covers of all pieces in an undulating, everted motif; the tray with same hand hammering with raised rim and applied handle. Dimensions: tea set heights, teapot 4 1/2 inches, sugar bowl with cover 4 1/2 inches, creamer 3 3/4 inches, waste bowl 3 3/4 inches.; tray 22 inches over handles by 13 1/2 inches wide.
